Concierge program
A new concierge service is launching for the 2008 houseboating season.  All customers booking houseboating vacations are assigned one point of contact to assist them throughout the entire vacation-planning process.  Their Customer Service Specialist conducts regular phone calls leading up to the trip, meets them at the dock for boarding, provides instruction time on the boat and greets them at the end of their voyage.

“Guests really benefit from the personal attention their concierge is able to offer them,” Dan Resmondo, district manager of Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas said.  “Your personal concierge knows all the details of your booked vacation and is able to make recommendations on arrival details, provide ideas on what to bring and make suggestions about what can make your time on Lake Powell even more enjoyable.”

Meals on Board
“Meals on Board”, an optional program, gives vacationers the opportunity to pre-order the meals for their houseboating trip.  All meals are prepared by Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas’ award-winning professional chefs and are well-balanced, restaurant-quality and made of the freshest ingredients.  They are delivered to the houseboat just before departure and stored in temperature-controlled coolers until guests are ready to prepare them. At the conclusion of the houseboat vacation, guests can just walk off the boat, and we'll take care of collecting coolers and cleaning up.

The meals include main courses, side dishes, desserts and condiments.  There are three tiers that customers can choose from with “Meals on Board.”  The first tier, Market Menu, is unprepared food products with no preparation prior to departure, the next, Gourmet Menu is 50 percent complete and requires some preparation, and the Cordon Bleu Menu, the third tier, is 90 percent prepared and requires little-to-no preparation.  Meals include such delicacies as citrus marinated salmon for dinner, buffalo burgers on Kaiser rolls for lunch and ham and cheese breakfast burritos to start the day.

Dining Services

Chef Brandon's Table will be offered on Fridays and Saturdays between June 20 and September 30, 2008. Guests of Lake Powell Resorts can enjoy a four course sustainable meal with appropriately paired wines presented by one of our culinary staff.  There will be two seatings, limited to 8 people each at 5:30 and 8:00 p.m. in a semi private area of the Driftwood Lounge.  Menus are chef's choice, and will feature seasonal ingredients.  Reservations are recommended. Scenic Cruises

Night Sky Tours
The Canyon Princess, Lake Powell's only 96' yacht-style tour boat, will feature Night Sky Cruises on Saturday and Sunday evenings between June 28 and August 17, 2008.  Night sky cruises will depart at 9:00 p.m. for a 1 1/2 hour cruise around Wahweap Bay.  On Saturdays guests can enjoy live acoustical music played by local artists.  Night Sky Discovery Tours will feature interpretive narration on Sunday Evenings. 

Half Day Rainbow Bridge Tours
With rising water levels and the opening of the Castle Rock Cut, Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas will once again offer Half Day Rainbow Bridge Boat Tours.  Departing at 7:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. the trip will take approximately 5 hours, which includes one hour to hike to Rainbow Bridge an explore the area.  Departures begin June 16, 2008 and continue through September 15, 2008.

Family Activities

New in 2008, Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas interpretive staff have developed The Lake Powell Explorer program.  Complimentary to families that are guests of the resort, campground or houseboaters, the Lake Powell Explorer program has age appropriate activities designed for parents and children to do together. The activities include Discovery Hikes, Word Puzzles, a field trip to Glen Canyon Dam Visitor Center, and Alphabet Hunt.  All activities were created to teach kids about Lake Powell as a national resource, about the flora and animals indigenous to the area, and safety.  The Lake Powell Explorer pack includes a parent’s guide, colored pencils, maps, a badge and completion certificate.  Ask at the front desk for your complimentary Lake Powell Explorer pack.

Boat Rentals

GPS Rentals
Many of our guests rent power boats for the first time on Lake Powell.  To help guests make the most of their time on the lake, they can rent GPS units with pre-programmed itineraries explaining the sights they are seeing, and facts about Lake Powell.  Units will be available for full and half day rentals.
