Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas

Payment & Cancellation Policies

Taxation, Utility Pass Through Fee (Energy), and Infrastructure Program Development Fee: All lodging, tour, houseboat, and watercraft reservations are subject to local, state, and federal taxation in addition to a nominal daily
Utility Pass Through Fee and Infrastructure Program Development Fee. The National Park Service also requires a park entrance fee. See http://www.nps.gov/glca/planyourvisit/entrance-fee.htm for information.

Small Watercraft / Water Toys

Payment Policy: Damage deposit is due at time of booking.  The full rental fee is due upon arrival.

Cancellation Policy: Small watercraft and water toys must be cancelled 24 hours prior to arrival to receive a full refund.

Lodging / Family Units / RV Spaces

Resort Locations: Lake Powell Resort is located at Wahweap Marina.  Defiance House Lodge is located at Bullfrog Marina.

Payment Policy: The first night stay is due at time of booking.  Remaining balance is due at time of checkout.

Cancellation Policy: Cancel policies are rate specific. You can view the policy by clicking on the rate name when availability returns. All Family Units (Bullfrog, Halls Crossing, and Hite), must be cancelled 30 days (by 3pm local marina time) prior to arrival to receive a full refund.
All cancellations inside of aforementioned times will be assessed a one night's stay plus tax cancellation charge.

General Pet Policy: All Pets must be kept on a leash at all times when in public. Pets must never be left unattended. Guest must clean up after their own pets.

Houseboat Pet Policy: $10.00 per pet, per day fee charged and must be paid at time of boat pick-up. There is no limit as to how many pets. Pets are not allowed on the 75' Odyssey, 75' Excursion, 62 journey.

Powerboat Pet Policy: Pets are allowed on the 19' Powerboats with no fee. Pets are allowed on the 36' Weekender. Pets are allowed on the 20' Ski Boats or 23' Centurians for a $10 non-refundable fee.

Lodging Packages

Payment Policy: A 50% deposit is due at time of booking.  The remaining balance is due upon arrival.

Cancellation Policy: Lodging packages must be cancelled 7 days prior to arrival to receive a full refund.

Boat Tours & Activities

Payment Policy: Tours will be guaranteed on a credit card upon booking. Full payment for activities is required at time of booking; credit card will be charged.

Cancellation Policy: Tour seats and activities must be cancelled 24 hours prior to arrival to avoid being charged.

Check-in Instructions

PRINCIPAL RENTER/CAPTAIN MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD WITH A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE.

Maximum persons per boat:  Houseboats (12), 19' Runabout (8), other powerboats larger than 19' (8).  Fee is charged for pets on all houseboats on a per pet basis.  Pets are not allowed on any 75' houseboats.

Wahweap Marina

Houseboats

Payment Policy: Booking deposit is due at the time of booking.  The balance in rental fee plus security deposit is due 60 days prior to arrival.  If booking a houseboat within 60 days of arrival, the deposit is due at the time of booking and full rental fee is due within 10 days of booking.  Houseboat reservation changes are subject to change fees (fees vary).  Reservation changes are subject to current rates.  Optional waiver of liability is available upon check-in for an additional fee.

In order to avoid delays, missed payments, and inconvenience, the credit card you used for your deposit will be automatically billed for the balance of the rental 60 days prior to your arrival, unless you contact us before then to provide an alternate form of payment.

Online Payments: The balance in rental fee plus security deposit is due 60 days prior to arrival.

Cancellation Policy: If canceling 60 days or more before arrival, the forfeit fee is $100.  If canceling 59 - 45 days before arrival, the forfeit fee is $500.  If canceling 44 days or less before arrival, the forfeit fee is the full rental fee; taxes and deposit are refunded.  We regret that we cannot make exceptions for personal emergencies as a cause for cancellation. For this reason we recommend travel insurance. If cancelling a reservation made within 60 days of booking there is a $100 cancel fee due if cancelled within 10 days of making the reservation, after which the above fee schedule applies.

Pet Policy: The Defiance House Lodge is pet friendly with all room types allowing pets. There is a $10.00 pet fee per pet per night. Owners need to be aware that they are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Pets are not to be left unattended. There are 4 rooms that are designated as 'Pet Free' for guests who have allergies.
