The popular Adventurer and luxurious Odyssey models sport renovated interiors
America’s second largest man-made lake and popular houseboat destination, Lake Powell, will be more comfortable to explore this year with the updated interiors of two of the lake’s best known houseboat models. Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas’ 53’ Adventurer and 75’ Odyssey vessels will have remodeled interiors for the 2012 vacation season.
Making up nearly a quarter of Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas’ fleet, the 53’ Adventurer is a favorite among guests for its value, offering low prices with the popular combination of two staterooms, two lower berths and two bathrooms. The houseboat, capable of sleeping up to 12, now features new paneling, flooring, counter tops, stoves and resurfaced kitchen cabinets.
The flagship Odyssey, capable of sleeping up to 22 people*, commands attention on the lake with its two stories and approximate 2,760 square feet of space. The boat is the ultimate way to see the Lake and the benchmark in luxury houseboating with four staterooms, two lower berths and three bathrooms. Guests will be welcomed with new upholstery, refinished kitchen cabinets, new carpet and a 42” flat screen TV in the salon, and new 22” flat screens in the lower staterooms—increasing the lavishness of the boat.
“Lake Powell’s breathtaking blue waters, red cliffs and dozens of canyons are best explored via houseboat.” says Eric Johnson, vice president of operations for Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas. “As floating ‘homes away from home’, Lake Powell Resort & Marinas’ houseboats provide our guests with many of the comforts and amenities they expect with on-land accommodations, and will continue to do so with the renovations made to our most popular boat, the Adventurer, and one of our most luxurious, the Odyssey.”
As the largest concessioner on the lake, Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas offers 169 houseboats out of two marinas: Wahweap Marina near Page Ariz., and Bullfrog Marina in Bullfrog, Utah. Ranging in size from 46’-75’ the marinas offer the widest range of boat types and price points on the lake, from camper-style economy boats, to high-end boats such as the Odyssey. In addition, the company offers a wide variety of services to guests from its Introduction to Houseboating weekend, piloting and porter services and Meals on Board, which provides guests with pre-made meals at their time of arrival.
Lake Powell’s popular houseboating season extends from late May through the end of October. An estimated 30,000 people will experience the lake from the deck of a houseboat this summer. To learn more about how you can book your houseboat vacation visit www.lakepowell.com.
