COVID-19 Guest Updates

As of close of business on March 25, the Lake Powell Resort will be closed until further notice. The Lake Powell Resort is located in the Wahweap District of the park near Page, Arizona. This includes lodging, the Rainbow Room Restaurant, the Driftwood Lounge, the Wind Coffee Bar and the Lake Powell Resort Gift Shop.

The health and safety of visitors, employees, volunteers, and partners at Lake Powell Resort is our number one priority. The National Park Service (NPS) is working service-wide with federal, state, and local authorities to closely monitor the COVID-19 pandemic. We will notify the public when we resume full operations and provide updates on our website Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and social media channels.

Due to recent action from the Navajo Public Health Order all lodging, select retail and campground operations are now closed through April 4 at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.  This includes not only South Lake but also Hall's and Bullfrog lodging, campground and select retail operations.   

The health and safety of our visitors and park employees is our top priority. We are working closely with public health officials and the park will continue to review operations and reopen facilities when appropriate.

For the safety of our guests and employees, we are cancelling boat tours until April 1, 2020 to limit gatherings of ten or more. 

Regular dining operations are closed, however we are offering carry out service.

Aramark takes the safety and security of our guests and employees very seriously and we want you to enjoy your vacation and time at our destination. We are carefully monitoring the evolving coronavirus situation and are in regular contact with health agencies for information and guidance. Aramark continues to implement preventive measures in line with the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as state and local health agencies.

Examples Include:

  • Placed additional hand sanitizers throughout our operations.
  • Scheduling frequent cleaning and disinfection in high guest contact areas.
  • Providing information about good hygiene practices and illness prevention to our guests and employees.

If there are any cancellations or changes to our operations, impacted guests will be notified immediately.

Additionally, Aramark has developed a comprehensive pandemic management plan. We are taking the steps necessary to handle the situation as it evolves. We appreciate your patience and are thankful for our loyal guests, employees and community.
