Due to declining lake levels and projected water elevations outlined in the Bureau of Reclamation’s 24-Month Study, Bullfrog Marina will be relocating to maintain safe water access for vessels and ensure continued marina operations. This move allows Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas to continue providing reliable services while adapting to changing lake conditions.

Bullfrog Marina will be relocating to the main channel area near Halls Crossing, where deeper water allows for continued marina access and safe vessel navigation. The relocation site was selected in coordination with the National Park Service to ensure safe operations.

Bullfrog Boat Rentals and Fuel Dock will be relocating to the Halls Crossing Launch Ramp area.

Bullfrog Boat Rentals and Fuel will be relocating late March, early Apri. All reservations will be departing from Halls Crossing at the new location of Halls Crossing Launch Ramp.

The marina relocation is expected to begin in late April and continue through mid-May. Docks and infrastructure will be repositioned in phases. A detailed timeline as we finalize it will be communicated. Guests will be notified directly if there are any impacts to their vessels during the relocation process.

In most cases, vessels will move together with the docks as the marina is repositioned. Some vessels may need to be individually towed depending on their location or water depth conditions.

Guests do not need to prepare their vessels at this time. If a vessel requires individual towing during the relocation process, marina staff will coordinate directly with the vessel owner.

Yes. Our team is working to maintain core marina services throughout the relocation process as conditions allow. Full Marina Services will be available in the new location. 

Services expected to remain available include: 

• Fueling 
• Pump-out services 
• Marina assistance 

Guest services such as porting and barge services Some services may experience temporary adjustments during the relocation.

Launch ramp access may change depending on lake elevations, Currently the Bullfrog North Ramp has Concrete to Elevation 3525’ and boiler plate access to level 3519’.

The marina team will contact the primary contact listed for each vessel, typically by phone and email. Additional updates may also be provided by email, marina notices, or posted announcements.

The relocation is a proactive step to ensure continued marina operations as lake levels fluctuate. By relocating deeper water, Bullfrog Marina can maintain safe access and continue serving the Lake Powell boating community.

Work is currently underway to establish shoreline access near Halls Crossing where the marina walkway will be located. We are also evaluating water taxi service options to help transport guests between Bullfrog and the new marina location. More details will be shared as they are finalized.

Efforts are underway to establish power and water service at the new marina location. However, during the relocation process while docks are actively being moved, utilities may be temporarily unavailable at the slips.

For safety reasons, guests must remain clear of the work area and allow our crew the space needed to safely complete the relocation.

Yes. Normal summer operations in Bullfrog will continue. 

This includes: 

• Bullfrog Lodge 
• Campground 
• Restaurant 
• Gas station

Fuel service will be available at the Halls Crossing main launch ramp area and will maintain its usual summer operating hours. Additionally, 24/7 fuel is available on land at the Halls Crossing Village Store.

Approximate driving times to Halls Crossing: 

• From Blanding, UT: 1 hour 30 minutes 
• From Hanksville, UT: 2 hours 10 minutes Approximately 1.25 hrs further than Bullfrog
