5-7 Day Houseboating Vacation

• Nights 1–2: Anchor in Wahweap Bay or Warm Creek Bay for an easy start.
• Nights 3–5: Continue uplake to Padre Bay or Face Canyon for new scenery and adventure.
• Return: Head back toward Wahweap for your final night or direct return.

Mid‑week waste pump‑outs may be needed between days 3–5. Stations are available in Warm Creek Bay and Face Canyon.
 

Located about 4 hours uplake, Padre Bay is home to some of the best houseboat beaches on Lake Powell. Most coves are found along the northern shoreline.

Padre Canyon
A guest favorite with:
• Extensive sandy shoreline
• Natural canyon‑wall protection from monsoon winds
• Immersive red‑rock scenery—classic houseboating at its best

A north‑facing cove offering:

• Excellent shelter during monsoon season
• Beautiful views of Padre Bay, Dominguez Butte, and Tower Butte

Kane Wash
A large, popular cove with:

• Expansive sandy beaches
• Open water ideal for watersports
• A stunning view of Cookie Jar Butte, a towering formation resembling a cookie jar
• Perfect conditions for campfires and some of the best stargazing in the Southwest

One of Lake Powell’s most sought‑after destinations, located about 4.5 hours uplake.

• Known for its slot canyon hikes and dramatic narrow walls
• Several excellent anchoring spots throughout the canyon
• Because it’s popular and narrow, send a member of your group ahead on a PWC or powerboat to secure a beach
• Be mindful of boat traffic and practice safe navigation

Returning to Wahweap
Plan ahead for your final travel day.

• It may take up to 5 hours to return from Mile Marker 25 to Wahweap Marina.
• All houseboats must be returned by 2:00 PM for refueling and unloading.
