South Lake Powell (Arizona)
At the southwest end of Lake Powell is Lake Powell Resort, which offers great lodging and dining options, and Wahweap Marina offers houseboats and other rentals, which is just a few miles from the town of Page, Arizona. In Page, you'll find restaurants, shops, and conveniences like Super Walmart, as well as the John Wesley Powell Memorial Museum.
At this end of the lake, you'll also find its most impressive man-made feature: the Glen Canyon Dam, which is open year-round for tours. This is where many expedition and excursion companies have their home base for mountain biking, 4x4 tours, horseback riding, and scenic air tours. South Lake Powell offers many fun activities and things to do on and around the lake.

North Lake Powell (Utah)
At the northeast end of Lake Powell is Bullfrog, Utah, where you'll find Defiance House Lodge at Bullfrog Marina, Halls Crossing Marina, and a vast expanse of wind- and river-carved sandstone. There's a saying in Bullfrog (Utah) that goes, "If you need something in Bullfrog, make sure you brought it to Bullfrog." That's to say, there's not much of a town - but the natural landscape makes the journey worth every moment.
