Day 1
Get settled in to your accommodations at Lake Powell Resort and explore the grounds of the lodge. Consider a dinner cruise on Lake Powell that combines spectacular scenery with a delicious dining experience. The Canyon Princess Dinner Cruise takes around 2 hours but will provide long lasting memories of your Lake Powell vacation.
End your day at the Driftwood Lounge, which offers a wide variety of cocktails, beer, and wine. But be sure to get plenty of rest for your busy adventures, which begin the following day.
Day 2
In the morning, take the Rainbow Bridge tour. This wonderful, scenic experience will have you back at Lake Powell Resort in the afternoon. Consider exploring Horseshoe Bend, which offers air as well as ground tours, or rent a powerboat for the afternoon and enjoy lake and water activities.
Day 3
Weather permitting, we recommend a half-day river float offered by Wilderness River Adventures. This adventure involves an exciting ride down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel in a motorized pontoon raft, where you will experience one of the most dramatic stretches of river found in the western United States.
In the afternoon, explore the mysterious and haunting beauty of Antelope Canyon and learn about the area through the eyes of a Native American / Navajo guide. The Antelope Canyon Jeep Tour, offered by Antelope Slot Canyon Tours and Antelope Canyon Tours, take you to this awe-inspiring sculpture set in stone and is a must for photographers.
Day 4
Spend the day exploring the majestic Monument Valley, 122 miles east of Wahweap Marina. Drive the scenic 17-mile road through Monument Valley, take a tour, or hike one of the many trails found in the area. There are many tour operators offering tours. A list of operators can be found on the Navajo Nation Park website.
Day 5
You should consider one of the following for your last day in the Lake Powell area.
- Option 1
Spend the day exploring north rim of the Grand Canyon. Be sure to stop at Lees Ferry, Jacobs Lake Recreation Area, and the Kaibab National Forrest while you are out that way. This will be a full day but one worth the trip!
- Option 2 Hike Vermillion Cliffs - Guided trips available
- Option 3 Enjoy a horseback ride at Paria Canyon Guest Ranch
- Option 4 Tour Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell Museum
