Powerboat & PWC Itineraries

Antelope Canyon
Approx. Travel Time: 45 minutes from Wahweap Boat Rentals
A stunning wakeless-zone slot canyon known for its narrow walls, turquoise water, and iconic photo opportunities. Antelope Canyon is extremely popular with paddle craft, so expect higher traffic and no beaching opportunities. Located entirely within the Arizona state line.

Navajo Canyon
Approx. Travel Time: 1 hour from Wahweap Boat Rentals
A scenic ride through tall, majestic canyon walls with sweeping “S‑shaped” turns. Navajo Canyon has no speed restrictions and no cell signal, making it a peaceful escape. A beautiful sandy beach awaits near the end of the canyon, typically reached in 45 minutes to 1 hour after entering.

Warm Creek Bay
Approx. Travel Time: 1 hour from Wahweap
A spacious bay with an abundant sandy shoreline, perfect for beaching your powerboat. Warm Creek offers wide‑open water ideal for watersports and includes a public floating restroom at the mouth of the bay.

Gunsight Canyon
A picturesque stop marked by the towering Gunsight Butte and views of Tower Butte. Depending on lake levels, you may find a small slot canyon to explore at the back of the cove. A great location for a picnic, photos, or a peaceful break on the water.

Labyrinth Canyon
A wakeless-zone canyon beloved by paddle craft and explorers. True to its name, Labyrinth Canyon winds through a maze of narrow canyon fingers. Beaches are limited, but the adventure factor is high.

Padre Bay
One of Lake Powell’s most iconic open-water areas, named after Spanish Franciscan priests Domínguez and Escalante. Padre Bay features three north‑facing coves—Padre Canyon, Kane Creek Canyon, and Kane Wash—each offering sandy beaches and excellent shelter. With current lake levels, sandy islands have emerged, creating perfect picnic spots with panoramic red‑rock views. The wide bay is also ideal for watersports.

Face Canyon
A favorite among Lake Powell explorers. This canyon splits into a Y—stay left to venture deep into a narrow slot canyon with multiple beaching options along the way. Many visitors hike to the very back for unforgettable photos. A floating restroom is located at the canyon mouth.

Return to Wahweap
Once you’ve reached the upper limit for powerboats and PWCs, it’s time to turn back. Be sure to allow enough travel time to return your rental by the designated check‑in time.
